From the Studio

Forever is only the beginning...

Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), plus those they love, must deal with the chain of consequences brought on by a marriage, honeymoon, and the tumultuous birth of a child in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, including an unforeseen and shocking development for werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

In The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, the newfound married bliss of Bella and Edward is cut short when a series of betrayals and misfortunes threatens to destroy their world. After their wedding, Bella and Edward travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon, where they finally give in to their passions. Bella soon discovers she is pregnant, and during a nearly fatal childbirth, Edward finally fulfills her wish to become immortal. But the arrival of their remarkable daughter, Renesmee, sets in motion a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, the fearsome council of vampire leaders, setting the stage for an all-out battle...

With more of the romance, passion, intrigue and action that made The Twilight Saga (Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse), Breaking Dawn - Part 1, based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling book series, begins the conclusion of the tale of vampire love, boundless friendship, acceptance, and finding your true self. ©Summit Entertainment

Costumer Reviews

This time I waited to see the film before reading the book, as last time I did not enjoy the movie very much having read the book first. This time I did not know what to expect, and was not comparing the film to the book, which made for a riveting movie experience.

The film deals with serious subject matter, and while the love scenes are not explicit, the birth scene could tramatise young girls, so I would not recommend the film for under 12's. I find the film best suited to 15 and up, as with the previous two.

It was sumptuous viewing with gorgeous sets and locations, emotion packed and compelling situations and characters. The symbolism was strongest yet in this film, very psychological, and it had the feel of classic literature about it as well.

Gripes are that I found the vampires not nearly as beautiful as they are described in Stephanie's books, especially the visiting guests, and the white makeup seemed more apparant, even tactlessly tapering off at hairline and necklines. Characters also have new hairstyles, making them not instantly recognizeable. I found myself thinking, "Hold on... who is this?"

It ends at a good place, we are not left with a cliffhanger. I really enjoyed it, and am looking forward to part two!

I would wait until they show it on tv if you are really that curious for the movie. As soon as the film started I regretted it straightaway. Kristen is a horrible actress who's range goes from bosom-heaving-nervous-breaths to blinking a whole lot. The acting was awkward the story line was lame and SERIOUSLY the music was way off.

Normally the music tends to be good in these films, at least... but this time it's timing was as awkward as the acting/scenes.

I am not a big fan. I read all the books and watched the movies because I wanted to enjoy sharing with my girls since they enjoyed them. However as they get older, they see how Bella's character is so damn pathetic, needy, clingy and Edward's character was so chauvanistic and condesending. The last book was more tolerable because Bella was becoming more assertive but the story as a whole left me feeling indifferent.

Don't bother... or if you really have to get the film for your collection, just wait until they throw this one is the 5 dollar bin at Walmart.

Costumer Reviews

I am totally hooked on making art journal pages and was so pumped to find a book devoted to showcasing only journal pages It is a visual feast for the eyes seeing art journal pages from various artists. Not only does it give you ideas for your own art journal but it gives you a glimpse into other people's lives. This is such an amazing book and I refer to it time and time again when I need to give my mojo a kick start or when I just want to treat myself to some visual eye candy! The amazing cover grabs you and pulls you in and from there you go on an artistic journey that leaves your mind thinking of endless possibilities for your own art journal pages.

I love this book. I sit and look at it over and over, always finding something new to be amazed and/or inspired by. It is exactly what it claims to be, 1000 Artist Journal Pages - but I was amazed to find out that the author had received submissions from all over the world to create a truly global, all encompassing and multidimensional book. It is fascinating, and best of all encouraging. The author encourages you to begin if you haven't, to face your fear of the blank page (which was unfortunately one of my greatest fears, until this book). You can't help but be inspired by any page you look at. Every art medium, from every place in the world, from 1000 different hearts and minds - are presented in this book. While it isn't a how-to book, it is so much better. There could not be instructions for such a personal art. Such a fantastic book, possibly my favourite, definately my most inspiring.

1,000 Ideas for Decorating Cupcakes, Cookies & Cakes [Paperback]

Costumer Reviews

I love this book, but you must be an experienced decorator to appreciate it, which is why I gave it only 3 stars. It is all pictures, and they are great, but there is NO explanation on how to make ANY of the things they show. A good decorator will be able to figure it out, but a beginner will not. It is basically a lovely picture book.

The photos are simply magical! But this is purely for inspiration since there is no information at all in this book. No technique, no description, nothing but images. So you have to figure it out buy yourself if you want to recreate it at home.

1,000 Places to See Before You Die [Paperback]

Costumer Reviews

Having worn my original copy of the book down to where pages are filled with my own notes and scribbles everywhere, I had no idea how a revision could be better than the first. But I bought it to have a "clean" copy. I am over-the-moon excited by the new inclusions and additional comments to the old ones. I have no idea how Ms Schultz managed to add so much more to the original such as places to see on the way to get to the places in the book as well as the color photos. And, it seems to me, there are many less expensive options to the uber expensive accommodations that have their own unique style and charm and are not just a "cheaper option down the road". I looove this book!

If you plan to buy Patricia Schultz's latest offering to the travelling public, make sure your passport is up-to-date! After looking through even a few of the alluring photographs and charming descriptions of places you've never even heard of and now must visit, you might also want to reconsider how much your heirs can expect to receive. Even though I know I will only actually go to a fraction of the places I've fallen in love with, thanks to Ms. Schultz, I feel, at least for a few moments of my day, that my world has been expanded every time I imagine myself in any of the entries. Can't say anything about the app that comes with the revised edition: I'm putting the Ipad $ towards airfare!

1,001 Facts that Will Scare the St Out of You: The Ultimate Bathroom Reader [Paperback]

Product Description

Fact: Chocolate contains the alkaloid theobromine, which in high doses can be toxic to humans, and in even small amounts can kill dogs, parrots, horses, and cats. This means that despite its name, the Kit-Kat candy bar is not a recommended snack for your kitty-cat. I wonder how many cats have died because of this confusion.

Fact: The most germ-laden place on your toilet isn't the seat or even the bowl: It's the handle. The solution: Don't flush. Let the next guy worry about it.

There are "just the facts"--and then there are just the facts that will frighten the bejeezus out of you. And thanks to this little gem of a bathroom book, you'll never look at the world the same way again, without, er, dry heaving a little bit.

From the sneaky fish that can swim up our genitals to the e coli bacteria lurking in the very water we drink, disturbing phenomena are everywhere we turn. Educational, entertaining, and undeniably horrifying, this book isn't guaranteed to help you, um, go to the bathroom, but it's certain to make your time there more . . . informed.

I read this book everyday on the crapper and it's hilarious! I'm almost done with it but I had it for months now and its just plain fun to read all the facts and the funny comments attached to it!

Very interesting and good book to read. Just don't read it before eating or going to bed. This book will gross, creep, and scare you. It will also suck you in and make it hard to put it down. If you like this book I recommend reading the "Uncle John's Bathroom Reader" series of books.
